Gwen showed me a stack of random things like paper and said "Mum, I have heaps of money!" To which I said, "Cool, let's go to Hawaii." Then she said, "Hawaty? Is that a nice place?" I laughed so hard I cried. I wish we could venture to some wonderful place for a vacation.
As I type 2 weeks loom in front of me before school begins and "the bell" runs my life once again. Grif is keen to see his friends and his new teacher, Mrs Kaiwai. Gwen will be at preschool and probably keep all of teachers on their toes. I am teaching Year 9, 12 and 13 Bible and really excited about what the year holds for me:)
There is a new yoghurt place at the Plaza and we always feel guilty when we don't buy any and support this local business. The kids pile on the gummies and their other favorites. They seem to know the owner personally which is just a wee bit unnerving.
Oh man, Gwen is now crying for no apparent reason so I should really be a loving and tender mother and hold her instead of typing. Have a great week!
